Former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan hasn’t been seen on professional wrestling television since the Brodie Lee tribute edition of AEW Dynamite which occurred on December 30, 2020, where Rowan showed up unannounced in a fitting and appreciated surprise. However, this might change as wrestling’s resident redbeard took to social media to tweet to Triple H that he wants to compete for the WWE NXT UK Championship against WALTER. WALTER defeated Tommaso Ciampa during night one of NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver to retain his championship. Was this former Wyatt Family member ‘punished’ by WWE for his relationship?
Members of the WWE and NXT Universe took to Twitter, responding to Rowan’s tweet favorably as this is definitely a match that they would like to see in the near future. Fellow fan, @failure76 wrote: “Man should of never been released. Get him back and make him the monster he should be. Dude is legit.” While @RyRicFair89 proclaimed: “Honestly, if they just strip down your character to just you. No bludgeon brother, no Wyatt family, no fake rats in a cage. Just you. That would be money.” @JKBlohm would proclaim by chiming in with the following sentiment: “@WalterAUTI would love to see you back in a ring, and against Walter? That would be a monstrous match.”
