Smackdown 1000 will take place on October 16th. Along with some fantastic matches, including Daniel Bryan vs The Miz and Samoa Joe vs WWE Champion AJ Styles, it was revealed a while ago that The Undertaker would also make his return to Smackdown Live. However, he won’t be the only star making his long-awaited return to the Blue Brand.
WWE revealed today that Evolution will reunite again. The dominant stable that held Monday nights hostage for two years will come together again during Smackdown 1000.
It was unknown if Batista would ever return to the company. While he revealed that he wanted to wrestle again and that he always considered the WWE his home, it seemed that the company didn’t want anything to do with him, according to his side of the story.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star revealed in multiple interviews and podcasts that he had attempted to return to the ring a few times since his departure in 2014, even for special one-off moments, but never heard back from them.
It seems like whatever was keeping the former World Champion away from the WWE has finally been settled, as Batista will join his Evolution brothers on October 16th in Washington, DC.
