Xero News reported that a Japanese wrestler has been travelling since yesterday and that he is a male competitor.

A very specific Japanese star is and has been traveling since yesterday.

Ex-AEW star Jay White lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Kauchika Okada in the main event of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. In an attempt to vent his frustration, White attacked Hikuleo at New Year’s Dash and challenged him to a “Loser Leaves Japan” match, without specifying when the match would take place. Following this, reports emerged that White had gained the interest of both AEW and WWE, with Tony Khan reportedly reaching out to him about joining AEW and WWE being reported to have him on their radar. White has expressed a desire to compete in the United States for the time being.

Fightful Select reports that White is still under contract with NJPW as of Saturday’s Royal Rumble.

“For those asking about Switchblade Jay White’s status, NJPW sources claim he’s still under contract to them as of the Royal Rumble.”

While Hikuleo is also very much an NJPW talent as of now, reigning NEVER Openweight Champion Tama Tonga is set to become a free agent soon.

“Hikuleo was also said to still be under contract, but Tama Tonga’s was supposed to be up ‘sometime soon.’”
