Ex-WCW Champion Getting WrestleMania Match?

Seth Rollins has hinted at former WCW World Champion Scott Steiner being his WrestleMania 38 opponent, as seen in a tweet below. Steiner will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame tomorrow.

There is absolutely no doubt that WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels is one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever graced the squared circle. He ended his in-ring career at WrestleMania 26 in 2010 against The Undertaker in a match that remains loved by both fans and Superstars alike. The Undertaker was also said to have turned down a huge WrestleMania match.

However, the Heartbreak Kid returned to the pro wrestling ring for Crown Jewel 2018, where he partnered up with Triple H and squared off against Kane and The Undertaker in a tag team match. The match was criticized by both fans and Superstars alike. Many fans also noted how Michaels was completely shaved bald during the match.

Michael Cole recently spoke on The Press Box, where he talked about WWE changing his real name because it sounded like Shawn Michaels.

“My real name is Sean Coulthard. I came from CBS News. I walked into sports entertainment as a fan not having any idea what I was getting myself into. I had to come up with a different name because at the time, Shawn Michaels was a major star in the company, and they didn’t want to have two Shawns on the air. So I took my middle name and half my last name. So I have a name that doesn’t belong to me, and I play a broadcaster on television.”

In other news, current AEW Star and former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho is no doubt one of the most accomplished and popular pro wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He has competed in several promotions such as WCW, WWE, ECW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and AEW among others.

Chris Jericho also competed in quite a few matches in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, starting from his IWGP United States Championship against Kenny Omega back in 2018 to his matches for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship with Tetsuya Naito. He also squared off against Hiroshi Tanahashi back in 2020.
