The September 2 edition of Smackdown was taped Friday in Detroit, Michigan. The spoilers have been released as the talents are traveling next week to Cardiff, Wales for Clash at the Castle on September 3. It has come to light that the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H has suffered an injury.
Nikki A.S.H sustained injury
Nikki A.S.H has largely been involved in the tag team scene after losing the RAW Women’s championship. She was part of the women’s tag team tournament recently as well. This week on SmackDown, Nikki A.S.H and Doudrop took on Sonya Deville and Natalya, Dana Brooke and Tamina, and Xia Li and Shotzi in a four-way second chance WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament match. In the end, Nikki did not finish.
During the match, Brooke superplexed A.S.H from the middle rope onto a pile of wrestlers at ringside. Nikki’s foot hit the barricade during the spot, which seems to be when she suffered an injury.
The ending saw Deville toss A.S.H inside the ring and quickly pinning her. Following the match, Nikki was checked out by the WWE medical staff before Doudrop helped carry her to the back.
