Ex-WWE Champion Rejects Contract With AEW

‘The Viper’ and multiple-time WWE Champion Randy Orton is not only a future WWE Hall of Famer but a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling as he has worked in WWE for close to twenty years at this point. It seems he has a lot left in the tank and is more than determined to work in WWE for several more years. Triple H also recently approached for a replacement of Randy Orton.

For the past couple of months, Randy Orton has been teaming up with Monday Night RAW Superstar Matt Riddle and together they have been known as Team RK-Bro and have been quite successful since their debut together. They even went on to become RAW Tag Team Champions after defeating AJ Styles and Omos at WWE SummerSlam back in August last year.

They would eventually lose the titles to Alpha Academy last month and since then they have been engaged in a feud with Chad Gable and Otis. Randy Orton has a lot left to do in WWE judging by his ambitions as well.

Randy Orton recently spoke to Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show, where he addressed rumors that he was going to jump ship to AEW a couple of years ago. Orton made it clear he has no intention of ever leaving WWE for AEW.

” Even a couple of years ago there possibly could have been some chatter and some talk but I was not the one talking about going anywhere else. That was just the internet and everybody. And I was, like, ‘This is interesting, I never said that.’

My contract’s up in a couple of years and I’ll sign another one. I love this place, I love doing things like this. WrestleMania, this is my 18th WrestleMania in a couple of days. Here’s to 10 more WrestleManias hopefully.”
