Ex-WWE Star ‘Disgusted’ By Racism On Raw

Shelton Benjamin has recently expressed strong feelings about a controversial segment from his past in WWE. After being released from WWE last year, Benjamin took to Twitter to address an old segment that resurfaced online, which he finds deeply troubling due to its racist undertones.

The segment in question marked the 15th anniversary of former WWE star Yoshi Tatsu’s debut on the ECW brand, where he faced off against Shelton Benjamin. In the clip, Benjamin is seen cutting a promo in a mocking Japanese accent. Reacting to the segment, Benjamin stated, “If I could erase one thing in my career this is it. I’m completely and utterly disgusted by this racist s***. I’m glad the ending was my character getting kicked in the head and losing #racismsucks.”

Benjamin’s candid admission highlights his regret and condemnation of the segment, acknowledging how inappropriate and offensive it was. He emphasizes that such segments are outdated and have no place in today’s society. Benjamin’s response underscores his commitment to standing against racism and his awareness of the impact such portrayals can have.

Despite the unfortunate segment, Benjamin has not ruled out a return to WWE in the future. His reflections on this incident demonstrate his growth and understanding, ensuring that such offensive content remains a relic of the past.
