Matt Cardona has certainly made the most out of his time since his release from the company in 2020. With an impressive list of accomplishments, including winning titles such as the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, the GCW World Championship, and the IMPACT Digital Media Championship, Cardona has been making waves in the wrestling world. However, despite all of his success, he’s not content to rest on his laurels.
Recently, Cardona sat down with Simon Miller of WhatCulture Wrestling to discuss his life as a free agent. He spoke candidly about his desire to be his own boss and have fun, which he’s certainly been doing since leaving WWE. He also couldn’t help but gush about his wife, Chelsea Green, who has returned to WWE after a successful run on the independent scene. Cardona made it clear that he’s proud of Green and her accomplishments, but there’s another reason why he views her return to WWE as a positive.
As he explained to Miller, Cardona is happy being a free agent, enjoying the freedom to make his own decisions and live life on his own terms. While he acknowledges the financial benefits of returning to WWE, he’s more interested in continuing to make money through his podcasts, merchandise, and other endeavors. And of course, there’s the added bonus of being married to a WWE “diva” and having sex with her every night.
“I used to have WWE divas’ posters on my wall,” Cardona said. “Now I’m having sex with one all the time. That’s living the f— dream, right? I’m living the f— dream. Matt Cardona has sex with a WWE diva every night. That’s a clickbait headline. That could be the title of this f— thing.”
While Cardona is clearly enjoying his freedom and success as a free agent, his wife is making her own mark in WWE. Green and Sonya Deville are set to challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown.
