NXT TakeOver: WarGames tonight saw NXT Champion Finn Balor make an appearance in a video package.
The Prince issued a warning to the entire NXT roster in a short but intimidating message.
All eyes will go back on Finn Balor this Wednesday
Finn Balor is currently healing from the broken jaw he suffered during his Championship match against Kyle O’Reilly. Triple H recently told Ryan Satin of Fox Sports that the broken jaw was not the only injury Finn Balor has sustained recently.
He had also busted his eardrum when he beat Adam Cole to become the NXT Champion a second time.
Because of the injury, Finn Balor was not part of NXT TakeOver: WarGames. But the message in his video promo was quite clear and straightforward – all eyes are to go back on him from this Wednesday.
“To everyone watching tonight. Everyone on the network. Everyone following online. And everyone in the locker room. Enjoy your WarGames tonight. Enjoy the craziness. Enjoy the big risks. Enjoy the spectacle. But remember one thing. When the sirens stop, and the cage raises, we get back to what matters most. The time for team sports is over. This Wednesday, all eyes go back on the Prince.”
Because of Finn Balor’s injury, WarGames saw only one belt on the line – the NXT North American title. Johnny Gargano recaptured the Championship with the help of Austin Theory disguised as a Ghostface, defeating Leon Ruff and Damian Priest.
NXT hints at Karrion Kross and Scarlett
It seems like The Prince will not be the only one to return to NXT soon.
TakeOver: WarGames saw a segment where the lights began to flicker as the WarGames toy set was being shown off on the announce table. The screen cut to a vignette featuring the signature ‘Tick, Tock’ tagline of Karrion Kross and Scarlett, along with a vulture.
Kross has been out of the ring since separating his shoulder against Keith Lee back in August.
The vignettes are definitely a hint towards a possible return of the duo on NXT.
