Finn Balor’s Injury reportedly made to be worse than it is

The NXT Champion Finn Balor suffered a nasty injury during his NXT Takeover: 31 match with Kyle O’Reilly and WWE has since confirmed that he suffered a broken jaw.

However, while the company has been playing the injury angle on their programming suggesting that it’s very serious, latest reports suggest otherwise.

Dave Meltzer talked about Balor on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and the wrestling journalist confirmed that the reports of his injury are not inaccurate.

However, Meltzer made an interesting claim about the former Universal Champion and he said that the word from within NXT is that the reports of his status are “made to be worse than it is,” for whatever reason.

So far WWE has not provided any time table for Finn Balor’s return but the typical recovery period from a broken jaw is six weeks so the NXT Champion shouldn’t stay out of action for very long.
