Drew McIntyre is currently facing an uncertain future as his contract with the wrestling company is set to expire within the next nine months. According to reports, McIntyre’s deal will run out before the end of the year, and the wrestler has made it clear that he will wait until much closer to the deal’s expiration to sign anything as there are a number of factors to consider.

McIntyre is just one of many WWE contracts set to expire within the next few years, as the company signed dozens of talents to five-year contracts in 2019. However, many of those talents were cut and later brought back during the pandemic, and it remains unclear if the company’s approach to renewing deals has changed under Triple H’s tenure.

The WWE is reportedly eager to keep McIntyre on their roster and hopes to engage him in talks later this year. However, there have been rumors that McIntyre is unhappy with the creative direction of his character and the offer for his next deal. In fact, Wade Keller stated that McIntyre is unhappy with his current situation with WWE, and it points to creative and money offered on his contract renewal.

Keller added that McIntyre was really beat up from his Triple Threat Match with Sheamus and Gunther at WrestleMania and speculated that he might have been pulled from SmackDown because of his physical state. There are also reports that McIntyre may have been pulled from the show due to his health or just for a day off to recover. However, the ongoing negotiations between McIntyre and WWE are apparently a matter of concern, and it is yet to be seen how this situation will play out in the coming days.

It is worth noting that the WWE has a history of making last-minute offers to talent whose contracts are set to expire. Many wrestlers have taken advantage of the situation and used the uncertainty to leverage better deals for themselves. Given McIntyre’s popularity with fans and his in-ring abilities, it’s not hard to imagine that he would be able to secure a lucrative deal with WWE or another promotion should he decide to become a free agent.

The situation with McIntyre’s contract negotiations is ongoing and has raised concerns among WWE fans. While the company is keen to keep him on their roster, it remains to be seen if McIntyre will accept their offer or look for other opportunities. It’s clear that McIntyre has a lot to consider before making a decision on his future with WWE, and fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see how this situation develops in the months to come.
