First 3 participants set for new AEW No. 1 contender tournament

For those who missed it, All Elite Wrestling announced a new eight-man number one contender tournament on Wednesday night.

 


 

During this week’s AEW Dynamite on TNT broadcast, the announce team of Jim Ross, Excalibur and Taz ran down the announcement handed down by AEW President Tony Khan regarding the new eight-man tourney to determine the next challenger for the AEW World Championship.

The announce trio also revealed the first three participants of the tourney, which will wrap up with the finals taking place at AEW FULL GEAR 2020, with the winner advancing to challenge the man who leaves the PPV as champion.

The AEW No. 1 Contender Tournament participant list is as follows:

    * Kenny Omega
    * Rey Fenix
    * Jungleboy
