First COVID-19 death in pro wrestling

The COVID-19 outbreak has taken over the world and that includes the world of professional wrestling. Many promotions over the world have taken precautions against the disease but it seems one wrestler has succumbed to it.

 


 

According to a report by Super Luchas, Mexican luchador Black Demon passed away at the age of 39. His real name was Roberto Munoz Carrillo and he expired on April 13th. The death was caused due to complications arising from COVID-19. Authorities did not confirm his passing, but his family did.

According to Sonora, Mexico authorities, 12 deaths due to COVID-19 have been confirmed. Around 100 cases have been reported so far.
