Floyd Mayweather opens up on the bout against Logan Paul

The controversial fighter, 44, was questioned about the fight with Paul, 26, and claimed if it had been an official fight it would have ended with a knockout in the first round.

Mayweather spoke to TalkSport during his recent visit to Mexico City to attend the WBC reunion:

“People have gotta know, there’s a difference between a real fight and an exhibition. I did an exhibition with the YouTuber Logan Paul. We had fun. All I did was work out from time to time, if it was a real fight, it would’ve been a blowout in the first round,” Mayweather said.

At that time, Mayweather and Paul fought eight rounds at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, with more than one million pay-per-view buys.

At the end of the fight no winner was announced, but Mayweather landed 43 punches of 107 thrown (40.2%), compared to Paul’s 28 landed of 217 thrown (12.9%), according to CompuBox punch stats.

Even at the end of the fight, Money dedicated some compliments to Paul.

“He’s better than I thought he was,” Mayweather told reporters. “… I was surprised by him tonight. Good work. Good little guy.”

We will have  to see how Logan Paul reacts to the comments of the boxing veteran.
