Floyd Mayweather was involved in a controversy

At the end of the event, Mayweather was taking photos and signing memorabilia for fans from the stage. One child approached Mayweatherwith a red boxing glove and a pen, but the boxer refused to sign the glove which he didn’t believe to belong to the boy in front of him.

“Whose glove? Go get, whose gloves that is. Tell them to come here,” he said.

“It’s mine, this is my son,” a voice shouted from further back in the crowd, though Mayweather laughed and walked away to attend to other fans

“I done a lot in my career, but this is by far the best,” Mayweather had reflected on stage as he accepted the award.

“I want to thank the International Boxing Hall of Fame for giving me this. This right here is going to my dad because he deserves it. Bernard Hopkins said it best – `You’ve got to earn it. – and my dad earned this ring.

“I want to say thank you to everybody for your support, I want to tell all the fighters – thank you, you guys are remarkable.” He added, “There wouldn’t be no me without you guys.”
