Floyd Mayweather Reveals ‘Racism’ To Gervonta Davis

With experience comes knowledge.

This appears to be something that the head of Mayweather Promotions has in mind for the superstar fighter under his promotional banner.

Floyd Mayweather took to social media on Tuesday to share some words of wisdom to Gervonta Davis, chiming in on a post featured on the official Instagram feed of the new WBA secondary super lightweight (140-pound) champion.

Davis (25-0, 24 KOs), who became a three-division champion with his 11th-round technical knockout of Mario Barrios (26-1, 17 KOs) at the Showtime pay-per-view event from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on June 26, posted some photos of himself and Mayweather in the ring after the victory on his Instagram feed.

The photos of “Money” Mayweather and “Tank” Davis on the Instagram post also included a screenshot of a seven-year-old tweet from his official Twitter feed that showed him predicting that he would become a world champion by the age of 21.

“I will be a world champ by 21, mark my words!!” read the tweet dated October 28, 2014.

The caption to the aforementioned Instagram post made by the current three-division world champion who did indeed fulfill the goal of earning a world title by 21 reads as follows:

“I used to couldn’t see this far. Damn, look how them tables turned. It’s different when it’s given to you. All mine, I really earned! #TheONE.”

Among the responses to the comments from Davis were a pair of posts from Mayweather, who shared some of that previously referenced experience-earned knowledge and wisdom by telling the top fighter on the Mayweather Promotions roster the following:

“No Tank, throw it in their face, we both was champs at 21!!! We are unstoppable and I’m so proud of you! Remember that jealousy, hate, racism and favoritism all comes with being a winner.”
