Former NXT star Kassius Ohno provides update on in ring future

Former NXT star Kassius Ohno has provided an update on his in-ring future after being released from his contract earlier this year.

The wrestling veteran has mostly been silent since his release from the company in April but he recently made a post on his WrestlingGenius subreddit.

In the post, he confirmed that he is far from being done with pro wrestling and claimed that he will return to the ring when the circumstances are right:

“Before anyone asks or infers, I am far from done wrestling. If I wanted to hang it up and coach/produce I could have a job tomorrow. I’ve turned down a number of companies in the last 6 months- not because they’ve been terrible offers or anything but because I’m just not ready. I will come back when the circumstances and situations are right. Trust me, it *kills* me to not be out there doing what I love. The time will come and when it does it will be spectacular. In the meantime, I appreciate all of your patience. Take care & stay safe!”

Kassius Ohno has had a couple of runs with WWE. His last tenure with the company started in 2016 when he joined NXT. He spent most of his stint working with younger talents helping them establish themselves in the roster and Ohno was considered to be the ‘gatekeeper of NXT’ due to this reason.

However, the former ROH star’s run came to an abrupt end when he was released from his contract in April as part of coronavirus budget cuts and he subsequently confirmed his return to the indie scenes with his Chris Hero persona.
