Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Returning To The Promotion

Former TNA champion James Storm is in Bethlehem, PA and is scheduled to be at all of the Impact Wrestling TV tapings this week. Storm could appear as soon as Tuesday’s live Impact Wrestling broadcast on Pop TV.

Storm’s TNA contract expired in June 2015. Storm showed up in NXT back in October of 2015. He worked a match at that taping and an NXT TV taping in November but he did not sign a long-term contract with WWE.

TNA will be taping several episodes of Impact Wrestling and a live One Night Only PPV this week. We will have spoilers from those tapings.

Storm has since tweeted out the following:

  • Khosrow

I’d be disappointed if he left NXT. I thought he had a pretty nice spot there as the one to fill in the Samoa Joe role, when Joe gets the call up.

  • Timothy Davis

NXT gave him leverage to get more loot and to be a World Title guy for TNA probably. NXT would only use him as a vet hand nothing more so I can see why he would leave after getting his “moment.” But damn, the TNA ship has sunk already. Might be a dumb move.
