Former WCW star says Riddle should use shoot style wrestling

Matt Riddle is arguably one of the best in-ring talents in all of WWE. However, it seems a former WCW Superstar does not necessarily think that way.

Former WCW Star Disco Inferno spoke on the UnSKripted podcast, where he talked about Riddle. He revealed that he wants to give training to Riddle.

Inferno provided an explanation as to how Riddle should change how he wrestles in a match. According to Inferno, Riddle requires a change in his move set and incorporate a more shoot-oriented style of wrestling. If Riddle makes that change, then he will become far better as a professional wrestler as he can capitalize on his popularity.

“Riddle. Matt Riddle, because he’s very popular. When I train people I like shooter style stuff. I’ve trained Karrion Kross, I train guys to throw good strikes. The thing Riddle is missing is that he does not throw like a shoot fighter. He’s throwing the fake/working wrestling punches. If he tightened up that part of his work his persona would equal his character.”

We wonder what WWE has planned for Riddle and whether he will eventually be given a main event level push.
