Former WWE Champion ‘Can’t Return’ After Illness

Jeff Hardy who is one of the most dynamic superstars in the history of WWE will be not on WWE Monday Night Raw for a second with after it was revealed he tested positive for Covid-19. Hardy’s return to the ring will not be possible until he gets a negative result on his Covid test. Jeff Hardy’s WWE contract ‘demand’ leaks.

According to PW Insider, Hardy was as expected, not at tonight’s Raw taping in Chicago Illinois.

As per the report itself, “Jeff Hardy, who was pulled from the road following a COVID-19 positive test last week, is not at today’s Raw taping.”

In other news regarding Jeff Hardy, Hardy was in a controversial match recently against the current NXT Champion Karrion Kross who made his main roster debut in unsuccessful fashion against the former WWE Champion. While Kross would go ahead and follow that up with a win against former NXT standout Keith Lee, the WWE universe was surely upset over the fact that Kross lost his debut match on WWE Monday Night Raw.

On a recent appearance on the ‘Its My House’ podcast, Lance Storm gave his opinion on the match. Credit to Wrestling Inc for the below.

“Granted I didn’t watch the show but I obviously saw the results and saw the clip of the finish and I don’t agree with it,” Storm said. “I think that win streaks and being undefeated still have value even in an era where so often we’re taught that wins and losses don’t matter. The start of Becky Lynch’s big run was about seven or eight weeks of just submitting women all the time and it led to her title match. And then when they tried to turn her after that, they got hot and she ended up being like the most over thing the business has seen in a decade.

CM Punk made this ‘disturbing’ claim about Jeff Hardy back in May. Storm continued: “And if you remember back, you know the CM Punk-Ryback Main Event on a pay per view in a cage, it was a big thing because Ryback hadn’t lost and Punk was the champ. And there’s still something to that, and the fact that Kross hadn’t been beat, and was built so monumentally strong in NXT and I think fans were really getting into Kross vs Joe.”
