Former WWE Champion Returns At Backlash

Former WWE Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Batista returned to WWE programming by appearing in voice over form as he delivered the voice over in the opening hype package for tonight’s ongoing WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view event. The event itself was sponsored by Zack Snyder’s new movie: “Army of the Dead’ which Batista stars in. The film comes out on May 21st on Netflix and is currently in select theatres. Batista recently made this claim about tonight’s pay-per-view.

In other news revolving Batista, if you wanted to see ‘The Animal’ return in a WWE ring, your dreams were just dashed by the man himself as Batista just stated during a recent appearance at Zack Snyder’s Justice Con, that nothing will or could make him return to WWE. The iconic professional wrestler issued the following comments, which were transcribed courtesy of ScreenRant.

“It’s hard to convince people that I’m actually retired. You have no idea how tough that discussion is. When professional wrestlers retire, they don’t really retire. They kind of retire. But, you know, when the paycheck’s big enough or the event’s big enough, they come out of retirement. It’s just not that way with me. I exited the business in such a storybook way, I’d never go back. I would never take away from that. I am just done, man. I really got to finish on my own terms and nothing is going to take away from that.”
