Former WWE Star speaks about being sexually abused

Former WWE Star Matt Striker recently had an interview with the Roman Show where he discussed a number of things.

While talking about his childhood, he revealed that he was sexually abused by a stranger when he was nine years old and he has also struggled with social anxiety:

There’s a lot of things that happened in my life that I don’t share because they are mine, but if I can ever speak about experiences to help people I am not a shame to say right now I was sexually abused, when I was nine years old by a stranger. I struggle with depression. I struggle with social anxiety. When I am not Matt Striker I am the quietest person in the world, but the thing is this, either you give it the power to beat you or you beat it.

Striker was signed by WWE in 2005 after he wrestled a series of matches with Kurt Angle on SmackDown. He went on to play various roles in WWE including a host and commentator before being released in 2013.

Apart from this, Matt Striker also talked about the current state of Lucha Underground. He said that he is not concerned about the promotion and they need to find a new home.
