Former X Division Champion makes NXT debut as manager

Last night at the Sanford Civic Center in Sanford, Florida, an NXT Live Event was held which saw former X Division Champion Robbie E make his NXT Live Event debut as a manager of a tag team.

Appearing as Robert Strauss, he came down in suits and cut a promo with the tag team that he is supposedly managing – the duo of Rinku Singh and Saurav Gurjar.

In the promo, Robert said that he is on a mission to create a group of elite wrestlers from across the world. A new stable comprising of international athletes is in the making perhaps?

Strauss wrestled as Robbie E in TNA from 2010 to 2017. He captured the TNA World Tag Team Championship two times as part of The BroMans with Jessie Godderz. He has also won the TNA TV Championship and the X Division Championship, as mentioned before.

Strauss has actually made appearances twice in WWE before, first on a May 5, 2005 episode of SmackDown where he lost to Matt Morgan in a match while using the ring name Rob Eckos. In January of 2006, he appeared in a skit on Raw where he was attacked by Edge who was playing Ric Flair.
