Francis Ngannou ‘Forced To Delay’ UFC Fight

Francis Ngannou Vs Derrick Lewis was supposed to be a highly anticipated sequel fight that would have taken place during UFC 265 this August. However, MMA fans will probably have to wait until the Fall for this hyped matchup. As longtime MMA journalist and insider Ariel Helwani took to social media via Twitter to report that Ngannou Vs. Lewis 2 will most likely be moved due to scheduling issues. This top UFC fighter recently leaked Floyd Mayweather’s paycheck.

Helwani stated: “UFC hoped to book Francis Ngannou x Derrick Lewis 2 for Aug. 7 but that is currently looking like a long shot at this point, sources say. Scheduling conflicts. Nothing finalized at the moment but September is now a new target, I’m told.”

In other news regarding Francis Ngannou, in a recent conversation with Michael Bisping for BT Sport boxing star Tyson Fury expressed his desire to have a boxing match against Ngannou – with the added twist and stipulation that it be in a cage and not a traditional boxing ring. “Yeah, I would fight one of those guys, I would fight Ngannou with the little gloves on in a cage, but no grappling and all that, just boxing. Cage boxing. That will be good, right? I would fight these guys, but you know it’s a totally different sport. It is like cricket and tennis. They both have bats or rackets but it is something totally different. If I fight Ngannou in a wrestling match, I am not a fighter, so they are going to take me to the ground like James Toney and they are going to tear me to pieces.” This top UFC fighter looks ‘miserable’ in this recently revealed casino photo.
