UFC 265 is already off to a start ladled in controversy as the opening video package was quite provocative to say the least. Joe Rogan recently leaked this ‘rigged’ Francis Ngannou fight claim
One combat sports fan posted the video package which one could argue was extremely uncomplimentary towards UFC Heavyweight Champion – Francis Ngannou as it takes a shot a the fact that Ngannou asked for time off and set the scene for the the current interim heavyweight title fight to begin with.
“UFC 265 opening: “If you [Francis Ngannou] don’t wanna fight, no problem. You can wait and fly around the world on vacation, whatever you’re doing, knock yourself out. Whenever you’re ready we’re here.”
Many fellow combat sports fans agreed, replying to the post as one fellow Twitter user by the name of @steve_szy stated: “Dude just won the belt in March. He was ready to right in September. UFC couldn’t wait a month and decides to shit on a guy with unlimited marketing potential, well done Mr. Clean and the UFC.”
While @ZeroDarkDave said: “That’s pretty scummy. I thought Francis just wanted time off with family? Didn’t he just get the belt >6mo ago? This card makes sense because they needed a ppv for business reasons, so interim belt makes sense but damn.”
