George Lopez Posts Sad Oscar de la Hoya Message

Sadly, Oscar de la Hoya has contracted the disease that has been spreading through the world for almost two years – Covid-19. The disease has hit many stars that are in the athletic world, but Oscar is one of the first ones to have contracted the disease while also being fully vaccinated. Looking at videos of Oscar, it’s clear that he didn’t wear a mask at all times and this may have lead to him being in contact with the disease. On a video that de la Hoya posted, he stated as the description: “Wanted you to hear directly from me that despite being fully vaccinated, I have contracted Covid and am not going to be able to fight next weekend. Preparing for this comeback has been everything to me over the last months, & I want to thank everyone for their tremendous support.”

In the video, he then thanked everybody and hopes to get things rolling soon. The outpour of support has been crazy.

George Lopez commented: “Oscar , get better brother ! Love you.”

Lennox Lewis said: “Get well soon my brother! Sending prayers for strength and guidance from my family to yours. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Bless!”

Triller’s Ryan Kavanaugh stated: “Oscar get well soon. You’re a fighter and you will fight through this as well and come out stronger than ever and ready to fight.”
