GFW cancels upcoming Event

While it’s been a while since the ownership of TNA/GFW changed hands, it appears the company still has a long way to go before they become a competitor for WWE again.

It hasn’t been more than a week since a number of GFW Employees announced their departure from the company and now the promotion has revealed another discouraging news for their fans.

The company revealed through a statement on their official website yesterday that they are cancelling one of their upcoming Live Events scheduled for 6th august. The full statement can be seen below:

Global Force Wrestling regretfully announces that the Impact Live Event at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, August 6, has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and logistical challenges.

All fans who purchased tickets for the Bridgeport event will be fully refunded. GFW also will offer all who purchased tickets to the Bridgeport show complimentary tickets to either of the other area Live Event shows that will be held that weekend: Friday, August 4, on Long Island, N.Y., at The Sports Arena in St. James (starting at 8 p.m.), and Saturday, August 5, at Staten Island’s Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George (starting at 6 p.m.). Please bring the original receipt from the Bridgeport show.

It’s worth noting here that while the official statement is saying that the Live Event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, it’s being reported that there was a large number of tickets still available for the event and it may be the possible reason why they cancelled the show.
