Gina Carano Reacts To Offensive Chris Benoit Photo

Retired mixed martial artist and now ex-Mandalorian star Gina Carano has making all sorts of headlines recently due to the controversy surrounding her firing from Disney and Lucasfilm, in addition to announcing a new film project with prominent conservative commentator Ben Shapiro’s outlet The Daily Wire. In the midst of all of this however, an old tweet has been resurrected in which Carano confuses a legitimate armed service member for disgraced former WWE superstar Chris Benoit. CM Punk detailed his last conversation with Chris Benoit today.

Benoit murdered his wife in his home in Atlanta, Georgia on June 22, 2007, he had also killed his 7-year-old son on June 23, and on June 24 had committed suicide, reportedly hanging himself using equipment in a weight-training area located in the basement of his home. It is considered to date to be one of the darkest weeks in professional wrestling history.

The tweet brought up by a user named @TheDarkKnight08 with the caption: “I’m still crying over this. Gina Carano and James Woods both getting trolled to saying God Bless cousin Greg aka Chris Benoit aka a murderous POS.” showcases the original tweet which was dated September 8th, 2020 from another Twitter user @FireWalkWithJoe.

The tweet stated the following:

‘Hey Gina! My cousin Greg here was a huge fan of yours. He recently passed away overseas and it would mean so much to me if you could support my family and i during such a troubling time. he was a hero! but most importantly a soldier fighting for our freedom, thank you.

To which Carano ignorantly replied: ‘RIP Greg. God Bless you’. This former UFC star made an offensive Chris Benoit remark recently.
