Goldberg & Drew McIntyre Lose Viewers On WWE Raw

Goldberg and Drew Mcintyre returned to WWE Monday Night Raw last night to hype their Royal Rumble WWE Title match this Sunday, but ratings surprisingly dropped. Raw drew an average of 1.820 million viewers on the USA Network, after last week drew 1.855 million viewers.

Hour 1, featuring Goldberg and McIntyre demolishing The Miz and John Morrison, drew 1.904 million viewers hour 2 drew 1.838 million viewers, and the final hour drew 1.716 million viewers.

Last week’s first hour drew 1.991 million, the second hour drew 1.875 million, and the third hour drew 1.697 million viewers. Both shows were main evented by Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka, but this week’s show actually had a higher third hour with the women’s title being thrown in the mix, along with a Randy Orton RKO. Despite the third hour being stronger, Goldberg and McIntyre delivered a slightly lower hour 1.

Goldberg helped draw a solid rating on Legends Night on January 4th, and he consistently drew solid ratings on Smackdown last year during his Universal Title reign and feuds with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns.

Expectations for next week’s Raw ratings will be high, as it will be the post-Royal Rumble show and the start of the road to WrestleMania, with Edge expected back after his Royal Rumble announcement on Raw last night.
