Goldberg Reveals Why He Had To Beat Bray Wyatt

WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg has been on the receiving end of a lot of negative backlash from fans. Many fans have been saying Goldberg does not deserve all the title opportunities that he gets in WWE, especially because he is a part-timer.

Goldberg recently spoke to Ryan Satin on Fox Sports, where a variety of topics were discussed. During the interview, Goldberg talked about him defeating Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Super Showdown last year.

The decision was certainly a controversial one and was met with a lot of hate from fans. Many fans lambasted Goldberg for getting the win, saying that he ruined the Fiend’s character.

While talking about the match, Goldberg said that he is not a member of WWE Creative. He is merely showing up and doing the job that he has been given the responsibility to do. Goldberg simply wants to be the ‘best package’ as fans can remember.

“You know, again, at the end of the day, I do a job, right? I’m asked to go out and perform and I don’t pass judgment on it. I don’t worry about a finish. I don’t worry about who’s winning. I don’t worry about who’s losing. At the end of the day I’m there to provide a service and I do it with a smile on my face either way. And I’m not a booker. I don’t make the decisions. I really don’t. I just come in and provide ‘that guy’ and the only thing I can do in a situation like that is be the best package that they remember.”

Goldberg will be facing Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this Sunday.
