WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg recently made his return to the ring at WWE SummerSlam as he challenging Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship but in an unsuccessful attempt to capture the title. He lost the match to ‘The All Mighty’ as the referee stopped the match after he injured his leg. Edge ‘Sabotages’ Major AEW Debut?
Goldberg opens up his wife and son
When asked how the WCW legend is feeling on CarCast, Goldberg said:
“I’m dazed and confused and continually limp.”
After the match, Lashley continued his assault, leading to Goldberg’s son Gage jumping in the ring.
Goldberg said about his son’s involvement and talked about his wife, who was backstage:
“I didn’t see shit. I was choking him. He goes, ‘Dad, when you came over and grabbed me, you were choking me.’ I was like, ‘I saw you smiling man, I had to get the smile off.’ The kid is impervious to pressure. He did four hours of homework before he went out and jumped in the ring with a 290-pound monster who was beating his dad up. It didn’t bother him one bit. Wanda [Goldberg’s wife] was in the back. If she was anywhere near the ring, it wouldn’t have made any sense. She would have had to jump in too.”
It is unknown when Goldberg will return to WWE programming.
