It’s a Happy Rusev Day indeed for Rusev and Aiden English, as the duo’s new shirt has quickly risen through the ranks, topping out at #1 on WWE Shop.
Rusev and Aiden English have quickly become one of the most over acts on Smackdown Live. The Bulgarian Brute has always been someone fans were behind, but after the horrible booking he’s had in the past few years, it’s amazing to see how strong a following the man still has. From the weird Summer Rae/Dolph Ziggler/Lana love story, to the failed League of Nations, to losing to Randy Orton in ten seconds, it’s been a tough two years for Rusev fans.
However, with the aid of Aiden English (who knew?) the former US champion has found a new spark, and fans are screaming for Rusev yet again. Since the Summer, Rusev has been pushing the new “Rusev Day” slogan, and it wasn’t long before he had the WWE Universe it the palm of his hand.
With Aiden English singing his praises, literally, each week on Smackdown Live, Rusev Day has quickly risen out of the land of obscurity that the Bulgarian and English had been in for some time. It’s worked so well that, in less than a month after putting the “Happy Rusev Day” shirt on WWE Shop, the shirt has become the top seller.
Rusev fans can only hope that WWE takes a look at the merch sales and realizes what kind of gem they have in their hands.
