Just days after Triple H talked about main roster stars possibly returning to NXT for an extended run, a former Champion made his return to the development territory.
Former Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper made his return to NXT during the brand’s recent Live Event from Buffalo, New York where he challenged the North American Champion Ricochet.
While the SmackDown Star was not able to win the title from The Champion, fans noted that the chemistry between the two was good and they put together a great match. You can check out some photos and videos of Harper from the show below:

As noted before, Harper’s partner Erick Rowan suffered a triceps injury during the SummerSlam PPV, and it forced the duo to drop the tag team championships to the New Day.
No word yet on if he will make more NXT appearances in the near future, but considering the fact that the company doesn’t appear to have anything for him on the main roster, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he shows up at more NXT events in future.
