Here’s why Vince McMahon introduced the Wild Card rule

On this week’s episode of RAW, Vince McMahon introduced a weird “Wild Card” rule. The rule allows four Superstars from both brands to work on both the show.

McMahon’s new rule wasn’t met with a lot of positive reactions from the fans. The CEO of the company received a lot of flak from fans worldwide for this seemingly unnecessary rule and one cannot blame them.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Newsletter that apparently, Vince McMahon believes that their struggles with the ratings have a lot to do with star-power. McMahon believes that if the top Superstars show up on both the brands, there will be more “star-depth”.

Basically, the top Superstars of the WWE are no longer included in the Superstar Shake-up.
