How long Rey Mysterio could be on the shelf owing to injury

Rey Mysterio and Dominick won their match against Seth Rollins and Murphy at WWE Payback. However, Mysterio suffered an injury during the match.

Due to the triceps injury, Mysterio was unable to compete on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. He was scheduled to face Seth Rollins. His son Dominick took his place, where he was unable to pick up the win.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an explanation as to how long Mysterio could be on the shelf. Meltzer says that if Mysterio had suffered a complete tear of the muscle, he would be out for around eight months and need surgery. Thankfully, the timeline Meltzer is hearing is around two months so while it still is a legitimate injury, it is not a complete tear and Mysterio can be back soon as part of a top card storyline.

It is likely Mysterio will still be appearing on WWE television even before he makes a full recovery
