Huge name made official for Smackdown’s debut on Fox

WWE is trying to have as many big names as possible for Smackdown Live’s debut on Fox next month. This includes WWE Hall Of Famers.

Trish Stratus last competed at WWE Summerslam and had a great match against Charlotte Flair. Now it seems Stratus might be competing in yet another match.

Stratus confirmed on Twitter that she will be in Los Angeles’ Staples Center for SmackDown Live’s debut on Fox.

Excited to be a part of #Smackdown to help usher in a new era on @FOXTV!

We will have to see how effective she will be in making the debut episode as memorable as possible.

We will provide updates on Smackdown’s Fox debut as we get to know more.

    Lol

  • Kayfabe_Is_Dead

They’ll probably put her on commentary, or in a backstage role is my guess.

Who says she will be competing in another match? Just because she is on SD does not automatically mean she will compete.
Did Austin compete this week? Did Undertaker compete this week?
These names are just added to potentially bring in a few more viewers from the nostalgia point of view (even though it did not work this week), and that does not mean they will compete, so why jump to that conclusion straight away?
Oh yeah, I forgot. It’s because you are Harrison.

Stratus is NOT a huge name.

  • Dirt McGirt

Harrison, no, Trish did not have a great match with charlotte. Not only is that an opinion and not a fact, it is a WRONG opinion. charlotte is trash and Trish should NEVER have been booked to put over HEEL charlotte clean. That’s not how wrestling works.

  • THAT B**** / FKA Can’tGetNo…

Honestly, Torrie Wilson would have the most significant female Hall of Fame presence, considering she was the face of Smackdown for so long. At this point Trish is starting to water down her own legacy.
