Hulk Hogan Breaks Silence On ‘Racist’ WWE Firing

WWE icon Hulk Hogan is one the greatest stars to have graced the squared circle. He is best known for his stint in WWE and he is a WWE Hall of Famer. The Hulkster  was recently featured in the A&E Roddy Piper documentary.

 


 

Hulk Hogan says Vince McMahon is forgiving

He went on to explain how people make mistakes in WWE and as a result strict actions are taken against them. He spoke about himself getting fired twice while also added Rowdy Roddy Piper was also fired. But, he stressed on the fact that WWE Chairman is a generous man and he is very ‘forgiving’. Here is what he said transcribed by Wrestling-Edge about his own firing for racist comments:

“Nothing is permanent in this business, as Piper has been fired, I’ve been fired a couple of times. Things change, the President or OJ [Simpson] or somebody will do something that takes precedent over what we did. I think Vince understands, he’s dealing with a lot of [high intensity] people. Vince is very forgiving.”

Hulk Hogan’s ‘biggest mistake’

Hulk Hogan was reflecting on the incident he was involved in when he had used a racist remark and WWE had terminated his contract in 2015. He was also removed from WWE Hall of Fame.

After “numerous apologies and working with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake”, the Hulkster was reinstated back into the Hall of Fame.

In 2007 he addressed it as the “biggest mistake” of his life. But, now he is on good terms with the company and he was the co-host of WrestleMania 37 alongside Titus O’Neil.
