WWE legend Hulk Hogan and Titus O’Neil were the hosts for the WrestleMania 37 pay-per-view at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.
It is understood that the duo was chosen due to Titus’ ties to the Tampa community and Hogan being from the area while also being a legend in the WWE universe.
Why was Hulk Hogan booed?
Hogan is undoubtedly one of the greatest stars in WWE to grace the squared circle and has been fan favourite for a long time.
However, following his racists remarks from the past which were unfolded back in 2015 had got him in trouble. The fans turned against him.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently spoke about this on Busted Open Radio, and noted Titus’ reaction during the boos. He said he couldn’t hide how he was feeling as Hogan was booed.
“It really caught me by surprise. I didn’t expect, I expected some boos, but I didn’t expect it to be at that level. To Hulk’s credit, he took it in stride and kept going. It was definitely different.”
Hogan was booed during both nights of WrestleMania 37 when he appeared on stage in front of the live crowd alongside Titus.
