Impact Wrestling has invited WWE and AEW stars for one night only TNA event

Impact Wrestling used to be called TNA. While the company is very different now, a lot of fans still call it TNA.

Ethan Page showed a lot of interest in a TNA event. Even The Young Bucks also teased their involvement by wanting to reprise their Generation Me gimmick.

Impact Wrestling’s Scott D’Amore spoke to ProWrestling, where he talked about this apparent TNA revival show and has invited everyone.

“There’s always going to be a polarizing effect of TNA, but the fact is, for a lot of us, there’s a lot of great memories of it. So, for one night, let’s relive the positive memories of TNA.”

“And let’s leave all the other stuff in the back. Let’s remember the positive times that made us love some of those moments in TNA. Matt & Nick Jackson are two cool dudes. They, like all of us, are wrestling fans. When they tweeted the photo of them with the TNA logo, how could I not respond?”

“Certainly, the door is open on our end if they want to come in. No politics, no BS, just wrestling. Sometimes we can’t do that, but if it’s possible and Matt & Nick want to come down, if somebody in the tower wanted to let Bobby Roode do a Team Canada reunion or [AJ Styles] come back to where he was the face originally, then the doors are open,”

It is unlikely that WWE will allow the likes of AJ Styles, Samoa Joe to attend the TNA event, especially during Wrestlemania weekend. So we wonder what will become of the event.

We will keep you updated on this story as we learn more.

This could be awesome. Sadly WWE politics is killing wrestling. Remember Impact let RVE show up in Raw while working for them. I wish all companies could think in us the fans just as Impact Wrestling does.

It’s not unprecedented just unlikely especially if AEW gets involved. Plus WWE already has a working agreement with Evolve.

    Oh Impact needs attention too.

It is actually not as impossible as some people think. If the deal works for WWE, they will do it.
Remember they did the deal with TNA to let Christian appear for them as they wanted Flair for the HoF.
They also recently did a deal that allowed RVD to appear on WWE TV while under contract to Impact.

While that being WM week makes it pretty much impossible they will come to some kind of deal, it is certainly something that could happen at some point. That said, I could not see WWE allowing anyone to appear in TNA if AEW stars are on the show as well.

Impact are obviously just trying to get some media attention, but WWE talent appearing for Impact at some point is a possibility, even if it is just a tiny one.

It’s a ratings call. TNA is about to sink, so they need all the help they can get.

You never know. Impact could trade some video library footage for the likes of AJ, Joe and Roode to make an appearance, just no wrestling matches
