Indie Wrestler Sends TNA Cease & Desist Letter – Details

Ohio indie wrestler Justin Carnes, who wrestled under the name Krimson, sent TNA a cease & desist letter last month. Carnes claims that elements of the Crazzy Steve character have been lifted from his work as Krimson. Those elements are Steve’s mannerisms, costumes, face paint and the red mist. Carnes also said that he created a stable called “Dead Wrestler’s Society” in 2010 and Steve ripped that idea off in TNA by using elements of the group to create The Decay stable.

Carnes is asking that the company acknowledge in writing that they will comply by Wednesday, April 6th. That date has passed, and Carnes may pursue legal action against TNA if they do not comply.

It’s being reported that TNA’s legal team is currently looking at the letter and deciding what the next step should be.

Steve has been with TNA since 2014 and is currently TNA Tag Team Champion with Abyss.
