Injured Superstars might return at Royal Rumble

WWE has a few Superstars who have been absent from WWE television for a long time. Velveteen Dream has been absent since NXT made its debut on the USA Network. He is suffering from a back injury, but he might be returning soon.

According to a report by PW Insider, they were told by  “multiple sources” that Jinder Mahal and Velveteen Dream will be returning at the Royal Rumble.

PWInsider.com has been told by multiple sources that NXT star The Velveteen Dream (who has been off TV with a back issue, but has been at all NXT TV tapings and the Performance Center regularly) and Jinder Mahal (who has been out since last year with a torn ACL) are slated to be in Houston, Texas for Royal Rumble weekend.

It was noted that they are going to be in Texas for the Royal Rumble. However, that does not mean they will be competing in any match, but it is a possibility.

It was also not confirmed whether Velveteen Dream appearing in the Royal Rumble match meant he will be called up to the main roster.

I love these conflicting reports on here. First we had the Humberto ones where we were told one day that WWE had given up on him, then told the next that he was in line to face Andrade once the Mysterio feud was done.
And now this one, with two conflicting stories. Firstly it was only a few days ago that we were told the reason Dream was out was because his back had still not healed, and now he might be in the Rumble.
Secondly, this article ends with speculation as to whether Dream appearing in the Rumble might or might not be a call up, when a few weeks ago we were told it was gonna be a 10/10/10 split between NXT,RAW and SD in the Rumble.
