Is AEW Star Appearing At Royal Rumble?

Long time WWE employee Mark Carrano became a huge topic of discussion after it was revealed that he was responsible for sending Mickie James back her wrestling gear in a trash bag. Mark Carrano was subsequently fired from his position as a result of his unprofessional and hurtful actions. Mickie James took to Twitter and revealed the entire ordeal as it sparked a lot of controversy on social media. WWE Superstar Lana also sent a bold message to Mickie James recently.

Mickie James was announced as part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year, in a move that definitely surprised many fans. This is because she was also acknowledged as the Knockouts Women’s Champion. Fans then started wondering since the Forbidden Door is finally opening up for WWE, whether AEW stars would make an appearance during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view as well.

Dave Meltzer confirmed that there will be no AEW involvement in the Royal Rumble match this way in any shape or form. Fans have speculated about Cody Rhodes due to his free agent status, but he won’t appear as he will be on AEW Dynamte on Wednesday.

WWE have released Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett, and Buddy Murphy. The reason cited was part of budget cuts, and Strowman was being paid $1.2 million per year according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The former WWE Universal Champion signed a new contract in October 2019, so the budget cut regarding Strowman is the WWE’s biggest saving financially from all of the talent cuts in the last year plus during the pandemic. Braun Strowman was fired by WWE for a very surprising reason as well.
