Is Ivanka Trump Abandoning Dad At His…

Ivanka Trump has re-emerged as a prominent supporter of her father, Donald Trump, while firmly stating she will not return to politics. Despite her personal decision, she will attend the Republican National Convention next week in a personal capacity to support her father. A source close to her confirmed that she will be there on Thursday, July 18, to witness Donald Trump formally accept the nomination, but she will not serve in any political role during the event.

Other members of the Trump family are also expected to attend. Ivanka, who was heavily involved in the 2016 and 2020 conventions, has shifted her focus since her father’s loss in the last election. In a recent hour-long interview with Lex Fridman, she expressed her commitment to supporting her father while prioritizing her family life. She emphasized her decision to leave politics to spend more time with her three children, feeling that she had given her all during her four years in the White House.

Despite stepping back from active political involvement, Ivanka continues to be her father’s top supporter as he faces multiple legal challenges. She highlighted the personal difficulty of seeing her father go through these battles but reiterated her unwavering support. Ivanka has not been actively involved in Donald Trump’s current bid for the White House and chose to stay out of the political spotlight.

I spent four years in Washington. I feel like I left it all on the field. I feel really good about it and I feel really privileged to have  been able to do what I did,’ she said.

‘On a human level, it’s my father and I love him very much, so it’s painful to experience, but ultimately, I wish it didn’t have to be this way,’ she said.

When Donald Trump announced his re-election campaign, Ivanka made it clear that she would support him from outside the political arena. She did not attend his announcement speech or the first presidential debate. Her focus remains on her young children and creating a private life for her family.

While Ivanka did not join other family members during Donald Trump’s trial in New York earlier this year, she did support him alongside her stepmother Melania at Trump Tower after the trial. With her substantial following on social media, Ivanka could still be a powerful advocate for her father, even if she does not formally re-enter the political realm.

‘I love my father very much. This time around, I’m choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family,’ the former White House adviser said. ‘While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena,’ she said at the time.

In her interview, Ivanka elaborated on her decision to prioritize her family while continuing to support her father from a distance. She acknowledged the personal challenges but emphasized her commitment to her family and her belief that she had made significant contributions during her time in Washington.
