Is Paul Heyman Fired From WWE?

The involvement of Paul Heyman in the heated rivalry between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar has made the feud more enticing. Heyman has been in a huge dilemma on which side to choose in the feud. He could still betray Lesnar and help out Reigns to retain the Universal Championship at Day 1. However, on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Heyman’s words have led to the fans wondering about his future.

Paul Heyman says his career is likely over

Kayla Braxton interviewed Heyman this week to allow Heyman to explain what happened last week on WWE Friday Night SmackDown when he was fired by Universal Champion Roman Reigns and eventually attacked by ‘The Tribal Chief’, with Brock Lesnar ultimately coming in to save him and lay down Reigns with two massive F-5s.

Heyman stated that he told the truth to Reigns last week when he said that he was protecting him from Brock Lesnar but Reigns did not want to hear it. Heyman said he was fired and humiliated publicly and he paid a price for telling the truth. Heyman stood firm and said that he does not regret telling the truth because his role as Special Counsel was to tell Reigns “these uncomfortable truths” and his role was also to protect the championship.

Heyman put over Reigns as the greatest Universal Champion of all-time but “he needs to be protected from Brock Lesnar.” Heyman ended the interview by saying that he’s not going to NXT to start over again. Heyman added:

“I put every bit of my heart and my soul and my spirit into serving as the Special Counsel to the Tribal Cheief Roman Reigns because I believe in Roman Reigns. Without that, maybe it’s time for me to acknowledge that my career is most likely over.”

We will have to wait and see what is next for Heyman.
