Paul Heyman headlined this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and he delivered an iconic acceptance speech. However, the former ECW head and The Bloodline’s Wiseman raised a few eyebrows as he mentioned his former ‘client’ Brock Lesnar.

‘The Beast Incarnate’ has been in a controversy as he was named in association with a lawsuit brought against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE.

He was not named in the suit itself but former WWE employee Janel Grant alleged that McMahon had offered her sexual services to an unnamed former UFC Champion and WWE star. It’s been widely reported that the star in question is Lesnar.

Regarding Heyman mentioning Lesnar, a new report from Aaron Varble of SEScoops stated that there were no issues backstage or pushback against Heyman.

Members of the creative team were told ahead of the Hall of Fame that Heyman had free reign to say whatever he wanted.

“We’re inducting Heyman in Philly, and we know what the audience is going to want, and we’re going to let Heyman give it to them.”

Backstage figures were later full of praise for Heyman’s performance.

During the post-WrestleMania XL night one press conference, Triple H was questioned about Lesnar’s status within WWE given his absence and restriction to mention him.

“At one point, there was a conversation with Brock about Royal Rumble quite a long time ago,” Triple H said. “Right now, Brock is home being Brock, and we’ll see where that leads to from here. The status is the same as it’s been before. Brock is not gone from WWE, he’s just home being Brock.”
