Is Shane McMahon Quitting WWE For AEW?

Shane McMahon has not been featured in WWE programming and he last wrestled for the company at WrestleMania 37, when he lost to Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage match.

 


 

Shane McMahon is no longer involved with WWE

FightfulSelect.com reported that that Wrestling Inc’s Raj Giri has heard that Shane is “no longer under WWE contract”. When asked around about him to the WWE reps, they were informed that he was “still a WWE talent and under a deal.” However, it was also noted that he’s rarely if ever at WWE offices anymore. So it’s unlikely that he’s quitting for AEW.

Shane McMahon and WWE had parted ways in late 2009. He eventually returned to the company in 2016. He had brief stints with the company and also reappeared in 2020. Big E Drops Brock Lesnar Bombshell

During his recent run in the company this year, he had a feud with Strowman and Shane-O-Mac made fun of the giant’s intelligence, and the WWE Universe wasn’t too impressed with the angle. As a result, many fans were glad when Strowman defeated McMahon and seemingly ended this chapter of his on-screen career.
