Is this a retirement tease from Kurt Angle?

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently made a post on Instagram that seemed like he was teasing retirement from wrestling soon.

Kurt Angle returned to the WWE after he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017. He returned as the General Manager of Raw and has wrestled a few matches since, the most recent ones being against Drew McIntyre on Raw in November, which was his first match on the show since 2005. The other one being the four-on-one handicap match last week where he teamed up with Apollo Crews, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable to prevent Baron Corbin from becoming the Raw GM.

Kurt explained in the post how after telling himself he would only go for 5 years but he has still continued to wrestle because of the fans, and that it feels great to be able to end his career in the company where he started the journey.

“20 years ago, I stepped foot into a WWE ring. I told myself back then I would only go 5 years,” Kurt wrote in the Instagram post. “But because of the #WWEUniverse, I continued to keep wrestling, although I left WWE for 11 of the 20 years. It feels great being able to end my career where I started. #itstrue #wwe #thankyouwweuniverse”

While this in no way means Kurt is saying that he is retiring right now, but it does seem to be hinting on it. The Olympic gold medalist is 50 years old and has had a wrestling career spanning two decades, and as the post suggests, he would be retiring while working for the WWE.
