Is WWE Doing Mass Firing Before WrestleMania?

WWE has been going through a lot of changes recently, with rumors of a potential sale looming in the air. Despite this, the company still has a show to produce, and they certainly did so on Friday. However, as Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE is making significant budget cuts in preparation for WrestleMania, with many staff members not attending the event at SoFi Stadium.

According to Sean Sapp’s report behind Fightful’s paywall, backstage at SmackDown, WWE’s budget cuts weren’t a big topic of conversation. It’s clear that WWE is taking significant steps to reduce expenses in preparation for a potential sale. The company is cutting back on spending, even when it comes to staff, with a lot of people not attending WrestleMania 39. Although budget cuts may not have been a major point of discussion backstage at SmackDown, they are undoubtedly on the minds of many WWE employees as they navigate this period of uncertainty.
