However, recent reports suggest that the former senior advisor to President Trump and the supermodel might be ready to embark on a new chapter and potentially reconcile their differences.
Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, has been gradually distancing herself from her father in recent years. She has chosen not to make public appearances with him and has remained silent amidst the numerous legal troubles surrounding the Trump family. In fact, there are even rumors circulating that she plans to change her name to Ivanka Kushner, adopting her husband Jared Kushner’s last name as a symbolic gesture.
This shift in focus towards the Kushner family brand could have implications for Kloss, who is married to Joshua Kushner, Jared’s brother. So, the question arises: are Ivanka Trump and Karlie Kloss friends?
Reports suggest that their relationship has been tumultuous over the years due to their stark political differences. However, there have been recent indications that their friendship might be on the path to reconciliation. In March 2021, Ivanka Trump was photographed alongside Jared outside the Miami home where Kloss and her husband reside, shortly after the model gave birth to their son, Levi.
Nevertheless, the divide between the two became evident when Kloss publicly expressed her feelings toward the Trump family following the Capitol insurrection on January 6, 2021. A few hours after the attack, Kloss, who was pregnant at the time, took to Twitter and wrote, “Accepting the results of a legitimate democratic election is patriotic. Refusing to do so and inciting violence is anti-American.”
When a Twitter user urged her to relay the message to her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kloss responded with a curt statement: “I’ve tried.”
According to reports from Page Six, Kloss’s sister-in-law was taken aback and hurt by these comments. Sources close to Kloss revealed that she had not maintained a close relationship with Ivanka Trump for quite some time.
