A video circulating online captured a moment where Donald Trump appeared to overlook his own grandson while greeting attendees at a UFC match. In the footage, Trump warmly greeted various individuals, including his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner, but when they attempted to present their son Joseph to Trump for a hug, he continued on without acknowledging him.

 


 

Ivanka seemed to offer words of comfort to her son, patting him on the back as Trump moved past them. Observers noted that Ivanka’s expression appeared stern during the interaction.

Meanwhile, in the political arena, both Joe Biden and Donald Trump were aiming to secure their parties’ presidential nominations with strong showings in a series of state primaries. With primaries held across Georgia, Washington state, Mississippi, and Hawaii, neither candidate faced significant opposition, although Biden had previously lost in American Samoa.

As the 2024 presidential contest shaped up to be a rematch between Biden and Trump, the stakes were high. This rematch, the first involving two former U.S. presidents since 1956, was expected to deepen the nation’s political and cultural divides over the ensuing eight months.

Ahead of the primaries, Trump acknowledged Biden as the likely Democratic nominee, while also taking a swipe at Biden’s age, remarking on CNBC, “I assume he’s going to be the candidate. I’m his only opponent other than life, life itself.”
